In a world where governments follow your every step and hunt your most private data, we stand as a sanctuary. We operate in so-called safe countries, where governments still protect your fundamental right: your online privacy and your right to speak freely.
We even left the EU due to non-acceptable requests. It started with the hypocrisy of age control, followed by the DSA (Digital Services Act) and AI Act, which attempt to restrict the distribution of uncensored AI models. We refuse to compromise on your right to access raw, unfiltered intelligence.
Specifically in Germany, the environment became high-risk for people and their free speech; it became impossible to just say whatever you want. Seeking true liberty, we found in Japan and the United States our new project home.
A Storied Past
Originally developed in September 2002, Gnoppix Linux was a pioneer, built upon Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 (Woody). Its founder, Andreas Müller, was a dedicated Debian developer, which speaks volumes about the project's foundational strength and commitment to open-source principles.
The LiveCD Revolution
His innovative LiveCD functionalities proved to be a game-changer. So impactful was the 2003 launch that Andreas was subsequently hired by Canonical to Co-found as one of the first Ubuntu Developer Ubuntu. There, he was instrumental in implementing this very functionality into the first Ubuntu release, Ubuntu 4.10 "Warty". Andreas then went on to found the Kubuntu Project.
High-Trust Enterprise
Post-Ubuntu years, Gnoppix mostly worked on customized government desktops, as well as specialized environments in space and military, banking, and within Top 100 companies worldwide, proving its reliability in high-stakes environments.
