The Gnoppix development team is thrilled to announce the immediate availability of Gnoppix 25.2, featuring the stable GNOME 47.4 desktop environment, alongside a sneak peek at the future with Gnoppix featuring GNOME 48-Beta1! This dual release offers users the stability of a mature desktop experience and the excitement of exploring the latest GNOME innovations.
Gnoppix 25.2 (Stable Release):
Gnoppix 25.2 delivers a polished and reliable computing experience powered by GNOME 47.4. This release incorporates Mutter 45.5 for a smooth and responsive window management experience, and features the latest Firefox 135.0 web browser. Under the hood, the robust Linux 6.13.1 kernel provides excellent hardware support and performance.
Gnoppix (GNOME 48-Beta1):
For those eager to explore the cutting edge, we are also releasing Gnoppix with GNOME 48-Beta1. This beta release offers a preview of the exciting new features and improvements coming in the next major GNOME release. Please note that as a beta release, some instability may be encountered. We encourage users to test and provide feedback to help us refine the final release. Smart reminder, its a early Gnome Beta, things may not work as expected. It is intended to provide an insight into how the new version works and how it works with other applications. We advise against using it for productive purposes.
